Online Broker RJT.com Announces New Java-Based, Direct Access, Day Trading Product
Omaha NE, November 1, 2000 - Online broker RJT.com today announced the availability of Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus, an on-line, java-based, Direct Access service designed specifically for the active investor. "Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus provides improved execution and reporting speed, allowing the active investor to efficiently capitalize on his/her trading strategy", said Ted Price, President of R. J. Thompson Securities, Inc. Mr. Price also added that "Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus offers Direct Access and Point-and-Click order execution; in today's trading environment, speed is a critical success factor for the active investor".
Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus utilizes event-based PUSH technology for real-time streaming data that results in immediate notification of Fills, Cancels, Changes, etc. The system employs a single screen layout with six scaleable windows allowing the active trader Direct Access to selected ECN's and market-makers. The client has the ability to open multiple order tickets that preserve entry fields, view real-time positions, track real-time P&L calculation by both individual security and by total position, view real-time streaming quotes and accompanying tick chart(s), view and/or manage both open and closed orders, and view a color-coded history of every order placed. All clients receive FREE real-time streaming quotes using RJT.com's Jet Stream product that has been designed to run side-by-side with Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus.
Rapid-Jet-Trade-Plus was developed by InfoComp International, Inc. using Java technology. Greg Gilgenast, President of InfoComp, said that "through the use of Java, RJT.com's application can be easily distributed over the internet minimizing download times", and added that "the application will work on any platform with a compliant JVM (PC, Mac, Unix)". Java also allows for the transparent deployment of feature enhancements, and has been proven to be extremely stable and fast in modern browser environments.
