You say, "manufacturers are conservative." But isn't the simpler answer that Georgia Pacific may have decided, based on tests, that the Lenox product is not all that it is said to be? Wishful thinking is a common occurrence in this life.

On the Japanese-consortium deal, people say, "the Japanese are slow to respond." Seems plausible, but every article we have read (except those concerning the Prestone product) is based on the testimony of Kurple and Deavers, the same folks who seem unable to fulfill the relatively simple promise of getting numbers out by a date certain.

Is it remotely possible that Lenox is the Bre-X of polymers?

Just asking.
