She showed plenty of commitment. But for the co-chair of the Florida campaign for Bush not to recuse herself once it became clear that she had outcome-determinative decisions to make shows very little character or judgement. I'm not saying every Republican should recuse himself or herself, or every Democrat either, for that matter. But being co-chair of a state campaign committee shows a degree of commitment to one side sufficient to make charges of conflict of interest inevitable.
