Pearly, a change in the current scheme of things doesn't mean you will get a Stalinist jerk in charge; I guess it could play out that way though. I just have this feeling that long after I am gone, 50 or 100 years from now that we will have a very different way of doing things and I think very likely one that owes very little to the present scheme for its structure. I have spent lot of time in Asia , mostly in the boondocks there and it took me a long time to realize that those people values are radically different than ours. In many ways they are truly "conservative" in that the main thing they don't want is change. And our emphasis on materialism and individualism just plain scares them. And are we better off than they are? Nope, not by a long shot! WSR
