Three doctors went duck hunting---an internist, a psychiatrist, and a surgeon.
They set up their three separate blinds around the same lake, and sat down to wait for the ducks.
After a while, a group of ducks flew over the internist's blind. He looked up at them and wondered, "Are they mallards, are they geese, are they swans......?"
They passed him by during his contemplation, and he didn't get a shot fired.
The ducks then flew over the psychiatrist's blind. He looked at them and wondered, "Do they realize if they are indeed ducks, do they relate to each other as ducks, do they see themselves as ducks..........?"
They flew on, without a shot from the psychiatrist.
The ducks then flew over the surgeon's blind. He took one look at them, and promptly fired his gun, killing three.
The surgeon gathered up the three dead ducks, took them to the pathologist and asked, "Are any of these ducks?" |
