That's really become the alpha and omega of American politics in recent years.

If you control the content of the news, you control public opinion and can seize and continue in power almost indefinitely.

Even if your followers are committing serial felonies to consolidate your hold on power it matters not so long as the talking heads feature your spin. At that stage actual facts, if they get aired at all are mentioned in only passing OR shown at 3 AM (as we recently witnessed).

Remember most viewers grew up conditioned to getting their news form Walter Cronkite, "the most trusted man in America". When they finally wake up to realize this is not you father's TV anymore, it will probably be too late politically speaking.

Sure, there may EVENTUALLY be a massive public outcry against this tidal wave of law breaking is subverting the legal election of a President and substituting an illegally installed and therefore illegitimate regime clearly capable doing great damage to our country politically, economically and yes also internationally.

But once Gore is in control any protest will, let me put it this way, not be treated kindly. Nuf said.
