We sure were Mason.

Now that I've had a chance to watch some of the coverage concerning the throwing out of these absentee ballots, it raises a question in my mind. Why is everyone calling (all) these absentee ballots military ballots? Military personnel are absolutely not the only ones who voted by absentee ballot. Civilians did too.

The number of absentee ballots said to have been disqualified IS disturbing. But why is everyone assuming they were all disqualified by Democrats? Has everyone assumed that the Republicans didn't disqualify a single one?

And if the Republicans are so up in arms about disqualified ballots, it raises the question why don't they care about the stateside ballots that have been disqualified? It seems they are displaying a bit of hypocrisy.

I would like to repeat that not all absentee ballots are from military personnel and the media needs to cease addressing them as - titling them as - 'military ballots.'

Also, there has been no discussion here or, that I've seen, on television about the report that some people received duplicate absentee ballots. That is also a serious matter and should be addressed.

I believe there is more information than so far meets the eye and I await for these supposed news journalists to dig up some hard facts as to what exactly has occurred rather than their just repeating what they have heard or what someone else has said. I also await some hard facts while, in the meantime, the supposed news coverage is mostly just a ping pong game of opinion.

On another note, it was extremely interesting to see reports of interviews with those participating in the manual recounts prior to the Republican charges of 'mischief.' These are your normal, average, everyday people who have graciously given up so much of their time to be there to assist in the recount. These people stated the environment as: four people watching each station; hands must remain on or above the table at all times; no instruments whatsoever were allowed - so as to prevent making any marks or indentations or perforations or any alteration to the ballot; and so on. It was only after the Republican announcement earlier today that there was some 'chicanery' going on that people were produced to state the environment was much different than previously described.

Until or unless these allegations are proven, I believe the Republicans are employing a very underhanded tactic to try to persuade public opinion that something unethical is going on.
