Rumors were circulating that one of the major brokerages on Wall Street had just started a colossal fund geared toward wireless, broadband, networking...etc. It's speculated suspected that recent downgrades issued by this firm may have been motivated by intentions to drive down stock prices of several premium issues to enable portfolio building.

I can't reveal the name of this firm because there is no easy way to substantiate this rumor.
