John, - Eliminate the electoral college. (there are good arguments on both sides of this debate) One good thing about the electoral college is that the disputes are localized. Even if we do have a battle of recounts that widens to IA, WI, NM, OR, NH, it's still a lot less than than having this mess in the entire country. This of course doesn't address the merit of the EC, only a logistical advantage it brings. Joe
