Jane: Re: "I have a neice and nephew who lost their mom to breast cancer when they were quite young (they are now only 10 and 14.) So that episode of the show endeared the Rugrats to our family."

That is tough to deal with and I can understand why that episode would be meaningful. I have a very good childhood friend, who has been dealing with that. She has a son about 5. She and her husband do fund-raising for breast cancer.

Your kids are probably more age appropriate for the Rugrats movies. I don't think you have one as young as four, do you? I missed the Mother's Day special and I have seen a few episodes, but I am still dealing with mostly with Blue's Clues and Veggie Tales, at this point, but I am not afraid to tackle the serious subjects with him.

I have been teaching him the Presidential Election details, which seems to be less serious subject matter in comparison. I did start to laugh today as he asked for a piece of paper from a spiral notebook. None of the pages when ripped seemed perfect enough for him, so he just went to the next page. I thought to myself that this must be like this vote counting. He disqualified every page, being the perfectionist that he is.
