<Yes, it all fits together well, and is therefore probably true. However, I still don't understand why, if 1x chips are available now, and are pin compatible with previous versions making it possible to get them to market quickly, the carriers won't sell them until they start putting in infrastructure.>

If Sprint uses CDMA one chips in phones for this holiday season buying, then Sprint will probably sell more CDMA 1x phones for the holidays of ’01. Some people will replace phones sooner to get the latest technology, and therefore Sprint stands to increase their yearly replacement rate %.

I don’t like it. I am an eternal child in a 50+ body who loves new toys AND CHRISTMAS IS COMING !!!!!!!!

Maybe I’ll stamp my feet and go buy one of those Ricochet things for me for Christmas ricochet.com to “vote” my discontent.

Regards,

Edit - I just went and really checked out the ricochet website for the first time and found out that coverage is not available in my area. THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING!
