Karen,
I completely agree. I think this is what bothers me most about the partisan views. Each side is completely unwilling to note that the other side has made a good point - or has brought up a good issue with regards to the fairness of the election.

Partisans are grouping everyone in their opposing side as evil, untrustworthy, and manipulative. As soon as one side is ahead in the apparent direction of the process, then they are quick to say that after that stage, it is important that the system now reach its conclusion. And they are quick to blame the other for extending the process - and fault the other for bringing in the lawyers to extend the process.

Oddly, it is making me start to believe in the electoral college system. If it wasn't for the electoral college, this process would be going on nationwide. As it is now, it is the state of Florida that must decide on their electoral college members. In theory, I believe they could even decide to split their electoral college votes down the middle. Although no doubt the lawyers would love that battle.

We have a statistical dead heat in Florida. And we may have a statistical dead head in the nationwide popular vote as well. At least the country is healthy and neither candidate is likely to do too much damage with Congress so close. Hopefully in four years we will see two new candidates that actually deserve the admiration of America.
