in which a court opinion said she had discretionary authority,

Actually, Judge Terry Lewis, a democrat, upheld her authorization to end the election certification process.

The Florida Supreme Court merely stepped in and gave the democrats some breathing room in order to recount as many ballots as possible over the weekend and stink up the process even more. No one asked them to make a ruling... They just did it on their own accord.

But I have a hard time believing they will find anything different in their ruling than Judge Lewis did. He was very clear that Florida law granted the Secretary of State the authority to certify the election and deny the admission of manually recounted votes submitted more than a week after the general election.
