Well, Dales post on BRKA was made following their close at 41,300 (currently BRKA's 52 week low based on closing prices). Should one have bought at that price and sold this past Friday they would have reaped a 55.4% return (83.1% anualized).
Anyway I don't mean to knock Dale (he has posted good ideas on SI), however fad's will come and will go, for a variety of reasons (money flow, technical, sector attraction and the like), however investing is all about valuation (as practiced by Buffett, Graham & Dodd and others quanitifying the ability to return cash to shareholders).......the other stuff is predicated on momentum investing and market timing (which can be profitable if kept in perspective, ie stay humble and objective).
Best Regards,
Mad2
BTW came across this in a old post......gonna take me a while to get the double mocha outta my keyboard;?)
