James, I cannot agree that all poor white people, or all poor black people, are any kind of trash. I have worked with very poor white, black, and hispanic, people at the county hospital in varying supportive ways. I am not a doctor, and have little respect for many of them. In many cases, they are responsible for their own plight for other reason than laziness. Alcohol, and drug, abuse are two prime examples, and although that is certainly no excuse for poverty, it is not laziness per se'.
I will bet that, off the record, Jackson considers all poor people of any race to be beneath his station in life, and would spurn them, except for the fact that he can bilk them out of the meager funds they do have.
As of the year 2,000, there are several areas and states where Caucasians are now in the minority. For instance, in the Houston area of Texas, Hispanics, and Orientals, outnumber Caucasians by a significant margin. Since I am now a minority, where is Jackson when I need his support on the national scene?? I am not poor, but there are a lot of people in other races that are not poor, and receive much more consideration than I do. Perhaps I am the wrong color. ~H~ |
