MJ, my proof is the popular vote. Al Gore ran a campaign on the issues. He received a plurality of the vote. When you add the Gore votes to the Nader votes, there is no question.
Most of the votes were on the liberal side. The liberal position now occupies the dynamic center of American Politics. Even Tom DeLay knows it. He now supports a prescription drug benefit. <g>
