>> what's your outlook on the market at the moment?

I am betting the profitless dot coms will continue to evaporate along with their cash. But other beaten down techs look good to me. I recently bought into AMAT, INTC, AMD, KLAC, TER, and other semi equip stocks. These companies have weathered several up/down cycles, and it has always paid off to buy them at 60% or 70% discount from their high. So I'm fully invested with these along with my disk drive stocks, which have weathered this market down turn very well. I am planning to buy some Oracle on Monday, depending on how the price goes.

Regarding oil, I don't think there is any scenario (short of spectacular stupidity by the US gov) that can result in supply restriction from middle east.

Congratulations on your business doing well. I'm in contract software programming, and that is doing well also.

Is it true that shuttered dot coms have released 20,000 software programmers who are now available to ease the short supply of programmers ? Would you be in a position to notice that if it was actually happening ?

Regards,
Sarmad
