"his is a tragedy for the servicemen whose votes won't count through no fault of their own. "

Hmm. let's see. It is a tragedy if a serviceman's vote is not counted through no fault of their own, and it isn't if a civilians isn't. If the difference is because of military service, how do you know that the voter whose vote wasn't counted properly wasn't a vet? Or is it just tragic if the person is currently serving?

This whole debate has veered off into the Twilight Zone. Sometimes the person arguing is favoring enforcing Florida law, other times not, sometimes they favor laws that don't exist. There is either widespread fraud, do people really believe that someone would tape chad back while being watched like the counters are?, or the people are absolutely trustworthy, and sometimes the machinery gets elevated to near godhood. The thing that seems so odd here is that the Democrats are ready to engage in massive (and dangerous) cheating, but the Republicans aren't. Give me a break.

Petz (god, I hope I got the right person) made a good argument for the accuracy of the optical scanners. From what I know of that technology, it is believable. Those Votomatics things are different ball of worms. This election has been too close to call for going on two weeks and there is no end in sight. Maybe the best thing is to say there was no winner and re-vote the whole damn country. Besides Oregon, that is. Takes too long to do their mail in thing.
