If I recall, Ga Bard had serious problems with a stock promoter or such and his earlier trading habits were with suspect penny type companies to begin with. I dont consider our penny leaders to be gurus......rather hope-mongers. Regarding Rande, I am not a member of the "Home" team yet it was more of a time constaint regarding the buildout of the website than finances. I have been around SI awhile and to be honest I doubt you would see a "guru" out and out tell you if he was broke or near broke, just like you dont read about bad trades here on SI. When it comes down to it regarding "gurus" I can think of only a handful that might be thought of in that light....ie...Jenna...who in my humble opinion has really flipped lately in a defensive manner. To each his own. Glad you dont have to count on any gurus for your own personal trading habits. Is Auric a guru? Jane
