This thread was not established to argue whether TA and or FA and or Sentiment analysis is valid. There are techniques out there that I do not particularly believe have any merit, but I am not going to criticize those that use them.

I may comment on how someone uses a particular technique I use, if I feel it is being used improperly. It seems to me that a lot of folks that use traditional technical analysis fail to use it properly. When this occurs TA will seem to fail a lot more often than it really does.

Patterns, trend lines and horizontal price action support/resistance areas should be used with not only volume analysis, but with additional technical indicators, IMO. I have found no method that is 100%. Using a combination of reliable indicators is the next best thing.

To many posts as of late on this thread seem to be about debunking TA and or FA and or Sentiment Analysis. I would suggest those engaged in this discussion read the thread header again! The focus of this thread is for members to proffer their SUPPORTED take on market direction. If you have not contributed your analysis as of late, it is time to anti up...<g>
