<<I may have stretch it a little on the tie between SSTI's CF card and Epson CF card. I am not going to break my 8MB CF card just to check if it is from SSTI or not. :-)>>

You actually bring up a fair point worthy of my investigation.. does SSTI do OEM contracts for other companies on CF cards? I doubt it, looking at the breakdown of revenue percentages.. it's a very small piece of the pie.

I'll write and find out.

<<Thanks. What is NOR?>>

Gosh, wish there was an easy way to explain it.. excuse my simplistic explanation style for those who have a detailed technical understanding.. but look at it in this simplistic way. There are different math operations, and these methods are better suited for different types of memory storage. The two primary types are ones based off NAND operations (larger density, larger code blocks), and NOR operations (smaller density, smaller code blocks). NOR is a style of memory, which SSTI focuses almost exclusively on.. and it is better suited for code storage of applications. I think of it as... well, on my computer I have executable files (like my winamp music player), and my data files (my MP3 songs).. electronic devices need this NOR flash to store the "code information" to tell the electronics how to interpret the data... this is what SSTI specializes in..

You know when you flash the BIOS on your PC motherboard? What you're flashing if you've bought a new PC recently, most likely is a piece of SSTI NOR.

Excuse me if you already knew those things. :D

all the best, and happy to see some fresh faces here.. I kinda had the impression I was the only one who found promise in the SSTI story lately.

long and strong, docpaul
