Yogi, today marks 5 weeks that my Verizon/Bell Atlantic Service has not been working.
Finally last week they made "connectivity" (the modem's "ready light" stopped blinking) but now i'm stuck on a "629 error"

I'm past "employees" and am dealing with managers at the presidents office.

Perhaps I should be sending a certified letter to the President of Verizon. Certified, because then he will likely read it.

I feel like i'm dealing with the government when i'm dealing with this phone company.

It may have a high tech cutting edge "Verizon" name but its still engrossed in beurocratic red tape.

My viewpoint is that it's managements fault (usually) and not the employees... in fact I usually ask the employees what they would do in my situation... and what the next step I should take to rectify the situation.

All I ask is that my services be fixed in a reasonable amount of time....Isn't that a reasonable request???????????
