The latest on the FL situation is that Miami-Dade will start recounting tomorrow with NO standards to counters except to use their own judgment of the voter's intent PLUS a turkey to the counter putting Gore over the top! The latter part is a joke but the Street will probably be pretty unhappy with the former when they think about it. I would add that the continual press announcements of the (poor for Gore) interim vote results of the recounting is incredibly corrupting of the process and quite logically has led to the interest/plans to change the standard in the other 2 counties. With what was done on the military ballots, I frankly would not be surprised if the Democrats steal the election. If the FL legislature were then to meet and determine that Ms. Harris properly interpreted the law they wrote, and then send Republican electors to the Electoral College (to go with the Democratic ones) we would have a royal mess - and the NASDAQ would see 2500.
