AMDroid FUD :

For today's buyer, the Pentium 4 simply doesn't make sense. It's slower than the competition in just about every area, it's more expensive, it's using an interface that won't be the flagship interface in 6 - 9 months and it requires a considerable investment outside of the price of the CPU itself.

reality :

Intel has focused on the key aspects of the SERVER market such as memory bandwidth, knowing that dell, cpq, ibm are not going to be fooled by some non-optimized benchmarks (possibly run on a pre-release), some being relevant for office stuff (my 386 serves that purpose pretty well).

do you think server OEMs will weigh more your FUD benchmarks or the X-years + Y-months AMD will need to ship SMP ?
