It should be made much more clearly that the problem is centered arround "DSL ISP's" This potential downturn was widely hinted at by several people earlier this summer, namely Robert Cringely at his website. ATHM and RCNC the principle cable broadband providers are not in the same boat and your articles should state that. Look last spring, it was all over the web how DSL was going to dominate broadband and cable was doomed. A great misservice was done to the people who invested in the CLEG and the "DSL ISP". They needed to be much better informed as to the flawed business models of the CLEG's and DSL ISP's. Also the technical issues concerning DSL's scaliblity and performance as distance increases from the ILEG's central office should have been much better reported news.cnet.com
