Rascal: While TWX agreement with ELNK could satisfy immediate reg. concerns, FTC might require 3 ISPs to sign within 90 days after merger approval or closing. MSFT must be a very legitimate ISP with whom TWX is already reported to be negotiating. It will be to the advantage of AOL/TWx to strike a deal with MSFT under conditions fair to both - a win/win situation. This would be beneficial to consumers and also adds credibility to the AOL/TWX merger and open access. I wish this had happened some months ago before FTC intervention. This has caused much delay and anxiety to investors of AOL/TWX. But it is never too late. I respect the AOL/TWX management very much. They know very well what they are doing.
I believe there are no enemies in business but only friends.
