Baldie I like trading the Q's because you don't have to wait for an up tick to sell short,there is usually a lot of volume and Island is usually pretty active. Selling short when a stock is on an uptick (or rising) goes against my momentum trading principles. (But I still short other stocks anyway). I have never heard of a minimum number of shares for any stock and if you pull up the island book you will usually see odd lots less than 100 shares for a fixed quote use htmlgritch.island.com Use the java link for real time streaming Island quotes but this doesn't work in all setups. Datek routes all of their orders to Island. I have not traded the Q's with Etrade so I am not sure what they do. Good Luck out there! Brian
