That's enougn beef for me. As a former tech co. exec, I know first hand some of the ways Msft stifles innovation, at the expense of the enduser.

But if you need more, one reason I steer away from Msft products is that they are the first attractant for virus writers. Many of the nasties are promulgated primarily through Msft products. For example, I don't have to worry nearly as much about email viruses because I use Eudora.
