I don't know what "material, non-public information" is. Would this include "channel checks" on products? Or what?<<

Reports of channel checks look to be public information. Anyone can go into a store and look around. An officer of Iomega, an accountant for Iomega etc. could have "non-public" information that would be helpful but not appropriate here.
