I disagree. I think the market is responding directly and negatively to the hurly-burly going on in Fla.

I do agree that it is not solely the election depressing the market. There are the problems of interest rates, energy prices, and the middle-east crisis.

IMHO this crap about the election has hacked about 1400 points off the nasdaq. SUNW, otherwise, would be in the upper 120's.

My theory is that it is foreign money more than US money that has exited our equity markets as a result of the election. They may not be so quick to come back, either.
It may take a quarter + good earnings to get back on track.

Getting Bush into office wouldn't hurt, either.
