Agilent results from CBS Marketwatch web site :

Agilent Technologies reported fourth-quarter net income, including goodwill and excluding a one-time charge, of $305 million, or 69 cents a share, compared with $146 million, or 39 cents a share, during the same quarter last year.

Analysts surveyed by First Call expected, on average, earnings of 53 cents a share, including a 17-cent goodwill gain and excluding the 3-cent restructuring charge.

Revenue was $3.37 billion compared with $2.45 billion during the same quarter last year.

For fiscal 2001, Agilent said it is still comfortable with guidance of at least 20 percent revenue growth and net earnings of about 8 percent of net revenue.

During the first quarter, per-share earnings are expected to be 45 cents a share, in line with the current analyst consensus estimate.
