Dear JC: I have just learned the non counted Military ballots are expected now to be counted (the fla. attorney general yielded to public opinion and sent such a memo to each of the county canvasing boards) Bush is expected to pick up several hundred votes there. I also just learned there are BAGS of military ballots still on ships that did not come in in time as the ships were at sea, supply ship late etc etc. Hopefully if this fiasco is continued they also will be counted.
As to our Supreme Court, after listening to it all seems to me they have a supreme mess on their hands. I predict they throw it all back in Ms Hariss lap telling her to accept recounts by a date she picks but to not be arbitrary. (which is kind of funny cause a court already told her she wasnt arbitrary). If they do anything stronger then that it sure would look to me as though they are going to get themselves into a morass. Gores plan is now clear, push the recount date back and back until it cant be protested. I think the court sees that.
I would not under any circumstances allow Dade County in as they didnt even start TILL TODAY and were not even part of the Supreme Court business today.
In case you havent seen it unofficially Bush has PICKED UP about 17 votes in Palm Beach with 41% of the count done and Gore has picked up I believe 112 votes with the count nearly completed in Broward (they expect to finish tomorrow) JDN
