OT FL SUPREME COURT

It was very obvious to me that the Fl Court intends to rewrite the Florida election law. What a sham!!!! The tone and type of questions asked by the justices made it quite obvious. This is just another example of a liberal court legislating instead of interpreting the law.

Keith, IRT to the hand recounts not giving much additional votes to Gore, I believe you should consider that the strategy of the Gore camp is to , hopefully, get the lead using the current standard de jour.("dimpled" chads not counted now) This would avoid some PR problems. Failing to overcome the Bush lead, they will revise the "standard" to include the dimpled chads. (As I understand the procedure, the "dimpled chads" and other non counted ballots are being kept separate. It would not take much time to separately count them.)

What will be ironic, is that the FL Court will set a new deadline to get finished. (The statute clearly already had a deadline.) What if this new deadline is not met? Someone will always have a good argument/reason as to why a/the deadline should not apply to them. (The court will not let state elected official enforce statutory deadline, how will it enforce a judicial deadline?)
