My bet is that the Florida Supreme Court will allow the manual recounts and will set a date something like the end of the month as a deadline. As to whether the recounts will produce enough votes for Gore, that remains to be seen. Likely depends on whether they count dimpled chads or not. A wild card could be the absentee ballot issues - my guess is that Bush will pick up some extra military ballots that were previously excluded, but that Gore will have a small shot at excluding the absentee ballots where the Republican party workers added the voter registration number.
