Techplayer, I have seen Cisco hang around 50 for so long. If the bulls have gotten impatient, I bet the shorts have as well.

NT got killed; so did JNPR, PMCS, AMCC, JDSU.

The big down move in JNPR did not spill over to Cisco in a big way probably due to the differences in the type of businesses. I still think when you have two companies dominating a market segment, you are better off owning both.

I initiated a long position in JNPR today (already long Cisco). Started buying PMCS and ADI last week.

NT is really the key tomorrow. I don't know if its move up today really means anything ahead of the analyst meeting tomorrow since there may have been lot of short covering ahead of it. I think they can revise growth down from 30 to 35% down to 25% without any bad consequences to NT stock price. Unless they guide down to 20%, Cisco will rise.

Will be interesting. I have been buying a lot of QQQ calls out a few months--too good a deal.

I am willing to put a floor of $48 on Cisco as long as the election is seen to get resolved by early December. If Bush wins after the recount, it is over. If he loses, it may not be quite done by then.
