Indeed. They seem to be moving 300-1000 items per minute, for projected sales from Nov 2 to Dec 24 of around $500M-700M. Unless sales pick up soon I would be worried. On the other hand, if they made this gimmick public is clearly because so far figures must look good to them (compared to last year projections)...



I believe Amazon thinks these figures will look good to the public. The perception is this is the number of orders not the number of items. So people are projecting that 300-1000 different people are ordering per minute. One should really divide that by something like 4. I don't know if the average order has four items but it is a good sounding number LOL.
