Gore's strategy is now becoming obvious: 1. Buy time to allow manual recount 2. If recount looks like he will overtake Bush, he forces Bush into legal challenge. 3. If recount does not go his way, he continues legal battle - going into minutae such as dimple chad issue. 4. Either way he forces extended legal battle to delay certification of Florida beyond electoral college deadline resulting in Gore having majority of electoral vote. 5. The net result is to disenfranchise the entire state of Florida! All imo
