Eventually, yes, but since P3's and Athlons should vastly outnumber P4's until Intel switches to 0.13u, (for at least 9 months), the software community will ignore it except for direct Intel subsidies.

By then it should be cloned.

As for another shoe dropping, the only one to worry about is faster ramping of speed grades. I discount that heavily because of the relative difficulty of overclocking. 100 MHz at 1.5 GHz is like a K6-233 at, what, 250 ?!
