Dan, you have a bunch of unclear references in your post, e.g. > "a place speaking to that".

And your reasoning is poor:
What is a "huge" number? Why does a "huge" number have "value and serves us well."

"My example wasn't speculative in that it happens everyday."(sic)

A general conclusion drawn from a specific episode has no merit. Consider:

"My buddy and I ate the same pizza. He got food poisoning, but I didn't. I drank beer, and he didn't." Conclusion? "Drinking beer prevents food poisoning." Nope. One episode does not prove the rule, or provide the explanation. It is (and yours is) a selective observation that should not be turned into a general article of fact.

And you attribute a position to me, which I did not infer or state:

"You claim there is no value in gun ownership."

Never did I infer, or say, "no value in gun ownership."
I remarked that people should have all the guns they wanted, if they were stored in a secure location wherein they could be used. Obviously, Dan, you see what you want to see, and that is the end of it.

If you have to make up stuff, where does that leave any of your credibility?? You and Gore are pretty similar! A fact supported by his talk, and your writing!
