Dave: "Others, like Oliver Velez, believe that ..."
I don't mean to pick on Oliver Velez, but I doubt that he has ever seen a market like this. He started trading professionally 6 years ago. During these 6 years, the Naz has always gained, except a less-than-4%-loss in 1994.
During these same 6 years (1/1994 - 1/2000), DELL gained nearly 11,000%, INTC - 1,200%, MSFT - 1,800%, not to mention those crazy internet companies such as AOL: 11,800% in 6 years, YHOO: 6,306% in 4 years, or AMZN: 4,100% in 3 years.
In a bull market, everyone can be hero.
