Dear M: Postmarks are not required in military mail. It all depends upon the time the mail is deposited and the time the person responsible has to postmark it. Remember the mail must go on an infrequent supply drop, that controls everything. From what I have heard as to the short handedness in the military overall I have to believe postmarking mail doesnt receive much of a priority anymore. JDN
