Greg, I hear where you're coming from with you're question of why can't Dell,EMC,and etc just dow what NTAP does or make what NTAP makes. My simple answer is just look at CSCO and SEBL.
Why doesn't ORCL just make/do what sebl has/does, they are bigger and have more money and more people.
Why hasn't anyone just done what CSCO has done for the past 10 years.
I don't know the exact answer but obviously it's not as easily done as said.

Dell,EMC and others can say they are going to do it and we can say anybody can do that, but for some reason no one seems to actually do it.

I think you need to wait for someone to actually start doing what NTAp has already been doing for sometime now.
There is always the possibility of something newer and better coming out, that holds true with EVERY tech stock. That's what makes the G&Ks what they are, they have the least possibility of being relegated to the extinct list.
