<ot>Hi Carl - re: activist, indeed, neither of us knows the details to make reasonable assessment. But, this has nothing to do with what s/he did, but a point about consistency of one's own thinking. I am not here to *punish* anyone <VBG>, but since you feel the process should stick to the rule of law, a GOP battle cry, I suppose, and you deserve the credit to extend to the postmark issue [not so with the official GOP position] then you have no choice to accept the possibility of getting these 4,700 ballots invalidated b/c they [ballots, not people] might be faulty due to the process chain. I really don't know if the exact legal ramifications, but it seems that it is a possibility, not unlike the RICCO law. If you argue the voters of these ballots should not be penalized by the action of the activists, then, well, your line of argument in the past few days may appear incongruent.

Of course, this is purely academic, but I feel we are at least exercising our mind in a civil manner, a heck better than the shouting and screaming :)

With regard to the *just punch #3* rumor, I think the persons involved should get their day in court, if it is true, but I do not think it is healthy to persecute them by way of rumor and innuendo via mass media.

best, Bosco
