USA Video Interactive to Demo New Wavelet at StreamingMediaWest
Conference; EMC to Join in Unveiling New Streaming Media Server Product

MYSTIC, Conn., Nov 21, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- USA Video Interactive (OTCBB:
USVO; CDNX: US; www.usvo.com) will demonstrate its new, proprietary Wavelet
compression technology at the StreamingMediaWest Conference in December. The
company will also be joined in its booth by EMC representatives in unveiling its
new, high-performance line of media streaming servers, the Hurricane 2
MediaCaster(TM), that provide USA Video Interactive's patented video-on-demand
and streaming video technology to customers with unparalleled levels of
information reliability, availability and scalability.
The StreamingMediaWest Conference is the world's largest exhibition for
streaming, broadband and content companies with more than 15,000 attendees
expected. It will be held in San Jose on December 12 to 14.
The Wavelet that will be demonstrated at the conference is a still-image
compression technology that competes with JPEG and similar compression
techniques. The still-image technology has numerous applications, particularly
where it is important to be able to download images quickly or to store them in
less space and at higher quality levels than available with other technologies.
The still-image product is an interim step in development of a fully operational
streaming solution that will be introduced in 2001.

USA Video Interactive feature EMC's family of CLARiiON storage systems to offer
a highly reliable, high speed, end-to-end media solution for streaming and video
on demand, featuring high levels of redundancy, particularly important in global
media applications where round-the-clock operation and availability are
required. They will be available for deployment in the first quarter of 2001 and
they supplement the company's Hurricane 1 MediaCaster(TM) line of video servers,
which have been deployed in a variety of applications worldwide.
