Another pump 'em up article on Conexant in the November 27 issue of Fortune magazine.

Basically the author rehashes the tired old 70% growth figures and urges the reader to "play the split up game." He points out that "you can assume some degree of overreaction on Wall Street's part." Is that blatant enough for you all?

Of course, the stock itself has fallen from the high $31's to the low $27's in the time since the article was purchased.

Are people really foolish enough to believe this kind of obvious puffery in the current climate? Hopefully not. We are on our way back to below $20 and a failed IPO as far as I can see.

("Failed" in this case would be defined as an offering that spurts briefly and then slithers back to below the offering price.)
