Uh yes, that was the early 1900's and perhaps into the 1950's and 60's...we are now in the new millenium, where the KKK and use of the term "colored people" are about as outmoded as Hitler and Mussolini...and trust me, there were very few white folks who "respectfully" called blacks colored (unless of course you consider "no colored people" signs all over the country to be showing respect).
