I remember back in '94 here in the UK there was also a heated debate and a lot of uncertainty on whether it was going to be a soft or a hard landing. It turned out to be a very soft landing. I see a lot of similarities (in terms of uncertainty) with what's going on now. I'm afraid I don't know enough to venture a guess which way it's going to be this time.. <g> I
