This poster just proves my case. Shorts have been extremely active and have made money, for which I commend them.

However, shorting NOW after these moves straight down is akin to going LONG at 109. A lengthy post telling us what we already know doesn't really inform and just adds to the FUD.

As for BrownFingers, has he made money? Does he have credibility?

Last 2 calls by Brown Fingers on MCOM - short at 18, goes right up to 24

Short at 13 - goes up to 17.

I'll give him today's third short call at 12 3/8. Let's see what happens. Even a bad trader can make money shorting in a crash.

As for the QCOM people, I'll defer to the techies. I find it amusing that they need to respond. They must be a bit concerned that their world beating technology, that may PERHAPS reach continental US in 2004 (hopefully after the determination of the next US President) may have a little competition by then and the market may already be divided without them.

There is room for all in the end. I have no doubt that QCOM technology will take a good share of the market. MCOM doesn't need a huge share to do well. I believe that they will given the attractive timing, pricing, etc., arguments. However, even if they get 10% of the market, MCOM will be many, many times today's price of 11+.
