moving sphere, yes, indeed it is. <g> this may be of interest to any win2000pro users.... i found this Windows 2000 Services tweak guide 3dspotlight.com that is very helpful. i had previously stumbled across the 'services' feature, but didn't want to arbitrarily begin turning things on and off without more info. i think some of these tweaks will preclude me from having to install 3rd party startup managers. i made over a dozen adjustments last night using the above tweaks and it has improved memory usage. good luck :) mark
