Hi JDN,

I think Gore is a lowlife because of this post-election behavior. He even surprised me. I expected a fight, but I think he is getting out of hand and needs to be reigned in.

The next president will have a thankless job, no question about it. IMHO, it will be the will of the American people that drives the process of governance forward.

If, for example, Hussein gets adventurous and starts lobbing missles at Israel while choking off oil, it will be up to all of us (not the congress) to unite behind the president.
That makes the job all that much easier.

Especially when it comes to foreign policy, Americans have to stop all the bickering and divisivness and start thinking about what will be good for ALL of us collectively. Partisanship has to stop at our borders.

Let's not wait until something really does go wrong before we put this lesson of history into practice. The time to start is now.
